Is Exercise Safe During Pregnancy?
When you become pregnant, you often worry about your weight. You can solve this query on your own. Just listen to your body and you will find the answer. It has been determined by the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists that some exercise is safe for pregnant women. You have to choose some exercises and then go ahead.
- You must consult your gynecologist before you take up with any exercise: Then only you must go ahead. You must do exercise that do not over stress your body. You lose your flexibility during pregnancy. Thus you must maintain some level of caution before you do any exercise. If you have pain in any part of the body you must stop the exercise.
- You must not exercise on a random basis: This is because the body is not ready for it. You must do exercise that are mild on a regular basis and at least 2-3 days every week. If you feel at home you are not that regular, then you can try out the gym.
- You must not lie on your back: if you are past your first trimester. This is because the amount of oxygen level will decrease. Thus, any exercise that has to be done in this manner must be avoided.
- You must drink gallons of water: You must stay hydrated this way. You must stay out of heat. Try to exercise in indoors. You must avoid any thing that is risky for the fetus. You must not indulge into any activities like skating, horse riding etc. You can have regular walks for a while till your body is not tired. But as soon as you feel tiresome, relax and sit somewhere.
